The MSO was about to lose rights in a franchise area due to a drop-dead date 3 months away for the franchise agreement’s commitment to upgrade. The project did not have enough design to fulfill their construction obligation to the franchise. Overbuild of franchise area by another MSO was imminent.
Benchmark instituted project controls for engineering, coordination, Quality Assurance, and expedited the delivery of design.
The focus was placed on construction and the progress of the upgrade was increased from 3 miles a month to 300 miles a month. The upgrade was completed before drop-dead date and the MSO retained the revenue base from franchise area. Based on Benchmark’s cost verses the revenue base retained, the MSO received about a 300% return on investment within 4 months.
